Hardware Requirements
In all configurations it is necessary for the first setup to have a standard VGA screen with a standard AT Keyboard. After the first setup it is recommended to remove the screen and the keyboard and install the black box in an - as safe as possible - place.
The minimum hardware requirements for the ACTANE Controller are:
- Standard PC/AT 386 DX 20Mhz (yes it works fine!)
- 2 Mb of RAM
- 200 Mb Hard Disk
- 1.44 Mb (3"1/2) Floppy Disk Drive
- 2 or more ISA-BUS Ethernet Network Interface Boards
- No Screen after first setup
- No Keyboard after first setup
Typical use : ISDN Speed Internet Firewall
The recommended hardware requirements for ACTANE Controller are:
- Standard PC/AT 486 DX2/66
- 4 Mb of RAM
- 1 Gb Hard Disk, Fast-IDE
- 1.44Mb (3"1/2) Floppy Disk Drive
- 2 or more ISA-BUS Ethernet Network Interface Boards
- No Screen after first setup
- No Keyboard after first setup
Typical use : T1/E1 Speed Internet Firewall
The recommended hardware requirements for Intranet high-speed configurations are:
- Standard PC/AT PENTIUM 100
- 16 Mb of RAM
- 4 Gb Hard Disk, Fast-IDE or Fast SCSI-II
- 1.44Mb (3"1/2) Floppy Disk Drive
- 2 or more PCI-Bus-Master 10/100 Base/T Network Interface Boards
- No Screen after first setup
- No Keyboard after first setup
